Making a Difference Fund
Unlocking community potential with Clarion’s Making a Difference Fund.
Whether through revitalising spaces, celebrating local heritage, or fostering new connections, this initiative offered grants of up to £5,000 to support local ideas.

As part of our 125th anniversary celebrations, we launched the Making a Difference Fund - a unique initiative to help bring fresh and inspired ideas to life while creating vibrant, connected communities that leave a positive legacy for generations to come.
This £50k fund offered grants of up to £5,000 for 10 new local community projects that aimed to unite residents, forge new and existing relationships, and reflect the unique spirit of each neighbourhood.
Open to groups big or small, and both new and existing partners, the fund supported projects that brought people together, strengthened local bonds, and made a positive impact. We particularly welcomed commemorative projects, including community art, gardens and heritage pieces, as well as proposals designed to enhance local services, strengthen partnerships and expand networks.
To ensure community voices remained at the heart of the process, residents played a key role on the judging panel, helping to choose the projects that best matched the fund’s criteria.
Applications for the Making a Difference Fund are now closed. Winners will be announced later this year and funded activities will take place from September 2025.
