Inspiring the filmmakers of the future
Our filmmaking programmes have successfully concluded, providing young creatives the opportunity to develop their skills and gain hands-on experience in filmmaking.

In partnership with Iconic Steps, we delivered two immersive filmmaking programmes designed to help aspiring filmmakers build their confidence, learn essential techniques, and explore opportunities in the industry.
Over the course of each programme, participants developed skills in:
- Creative and technical aspects of filmmaking – From ideation and planning to camera work, sound, lighting, and editing.
- Social video strategy – Learning how to create engaging content for social media platforms.
- Career pathways in media – Gaining insight into roles in filmmaking, production, content creation, and the TV and film industry.
Through workshops, technical training, and practical filming sessions, participants worked on their own short documentary projects, showcased at a special group screening.
A lasting impact
As well as hands-on filmmaking experience, the programme introduced participants to Clarion Futures and Iconic Steps, helping them build connections, develop their skills further, and explore potential next steps in media.
Feedback from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive, with many feeling more confident in their abilities and creative potential.
